Matilda Bay Restaurant | Justice Lundberg was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 23 November 2022. His Honour is a judge in the Commercial and Managed Cases List and the judge in charge of the Arbitration List. His Honour is from Port Hedland, in the Pilbara region, and his mother is a Wajarri Yamatji woman from the Meekatharra region. His Honour was the first Indigenous judge appointed to the Supreme Court in this State. His Honour graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1995. Prior to his appointment, Justice Lundberg practising as a litigation lawyer for 28 years, first at the Crown Solicitor's Office, then with Mallesons Stephen Jaques, and finally at two global law firms, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and Jones Day. His Honour's practice focused on commercial litigation, corporate disputes, construction litigation, and international arbitration, typically in the energy and resources sector. Throughout his professional career, his Honour had a keen interest in representing Indigenous clients. | View | |||||
